Lauren Tortora is a mom, middle school teacher, writer and illustrator.  She has been drawing since she was a little girl and has loved to write for just as long.  She enjoys teaching and inspiring children to write creatively.  She hopes that she will continue to inspire children to use their imaginations through her first picture book, Monsters on My Mind.  She currently lives on the east coast with her husband and two daughters.
